10 Resourceful Websites For Developers And Designers

Previously I published my first article about how I started out in tech and the goal I intend to achieve by contributing to the community through articles. I will also use the series tool in hashnode to organize the articles because I will be dealing with other interesting topics. Watch out ☺️

In this series of FREEBIES article, I have curated and researched about 10 websites for both designers and developers. These websites provides you with necessary resources you need as a techie or a designer. Alot of folks in this tech field find it difficult to locate freebies as an alternative to premium resources especially newbies who are not yet familiar with the system. 1. Freestuff is a minimal website developed by hilmanski to provide free tools for developers to use, Some of the tools are only available for free for one year. It can also allow other developers upload tools which they find helpful to the page.

2. Courseclub contains full and free courses from popular learning applications like pluralsight, LinkedIn, TeamTreeHouse, PHlearn and lots more. You can choose from variety of learning platforms to see full and free courses updated daily.

3. Freecoursesite also contains course ranging from different categories like design, personal development, IT & Software, marketing and bunch of different categories of free courses. It will go a long way in providing you with necessary courses that will level you up.

4. Freecodecamp is a non-profit organization that consists of an interactive learning web platform, an online community forum, chat rooms, online publications and local organisation that intend to make learning web development accessible to anyone. Source: Wikipedia

The fun part is everything there is entirely free. You can take courses like "web development, backend development, Frontend development, ML and many other aspect of tech.

5. Codementor is an online platform providing instant one-on-one help for software developers by utilizing screen sharing, video and text chat, in order to replicate for users the experience of having a mentor for code reviewing, debugging, and online programming

6. Freebiesbug is a web design blog showcasing free high-quality design resources like PSD files, HTML website templates, fonts and other cool stuff. The website is well packaged with alot of free resources which can help you design more effective, intriguing and appealing designs either as a freelancer or an individual designer.

7. UI8 is a web-based platform that provides its users with a variety of UI design assets. It's design assets ranges from coded template, wireframes kit, mock-up, 3D assets, fonts and bunch of different assets. It has a freebies section and premium assets section. The favourite part of this website is that the resources it provides can be supported by Figma, Sketch and Adobe XD, Invison, framer, blender and more

8. Ionicon is a web-based app that contains premium designed icons for use in web, iOS, Android, and desktop apps. Support for SVG and web font. Completely open source, MIT licensed and built by Ionic. Yayy πŸŽ‰ it's open source, the term "open source" might sound strange to some newbies in tech so I'll give a little info about what it really means before I continue
